@Mashi, Thaks for the comment. I agree with you on using himself as a muse, it would have reached a broader audience. I believe since this was his first collection, the looks were more in tuned with the other designers he enlisted to assist him in creating the collection.

I have no idea were the fur comes in to play doing the spring/summer seasons. That could have been a result of last minute planning.

As I look more at detailed photos of the collection I came up with the conclusion that it borders on a fall 2012 collection. It was still a great collection though.

Although Mr.West at often times behaves like a complete douche bag, he genuinely does seem to love fashion and design, so despite my misgivings about him as a human being, I would like to see him succeed .

That said, this show was such a missed opportunity. Booking the models at the dead last minute was a terrible idea (inadequate fitting time) the fit problems with the pants and those deep plunging halters really working against him. I didn't like the choices he made with the few sprinkles of color he showed (sad blues and dowdy corals) There was no clear inspiration and those fur trimmed sandals killed me.
I think he should have used himself as a muse; he's a rockstar, well traveled, dresses to make a statement, he has a hate it or love it approach to life, bad boy. I think that's what was so desperately needed. Where was Kanye in these looks?
